XBOX i bilen?

INFO 31.08.2004

Hello!

Here's a list of some of changes since last build.
Sorry, no TAI8570 support yet, only bugfixes and minor updates this far.

Fixes:
Did not create CURRENT.HTML if not FTP upload enabled
SUMMARY.TXT: 100% humidity reported as h100, now corrected to h00.
APRS post: Reported rain as "rain in last 24 hours" while sending "rain since midnight". Fixed.
APRS Post: Changed how WServer reports nonexistent sensors.

Added:
USB: USB support, also added the USB TMEX library needed
LOG: Added barometric rate/hour at end of line
XML: Rain last hour
XML: Counter values of wind and raingauge in DS2423 section
Selectable interval for backupcopy/saving of graphs in case of crash,
modify SaveGraphInterval in WSERVER.INI to change.
Total samples since first start will now be saved and displayed in WEATHER.HTML.

Changes:
Changed how 'selected' temperature is stored, now it uses sensor serial.

Changed the 'map' stuff in WEATHER.HTML a bit, due to MapBlast/Vicinity.com change.

Changed lower limit for raingauge setting CountsPrInch, now takes 5-200 as valid input. (Defaults to 100)

Changed how the HTML template stuff works. Instead of one file using template.html, and with output file name
described in WSERVER.INI, now you put any template you like in the 'TEMPLATE' subdirectory,
and WServer will parse them one by one and output to 'HTML' directory with the same filename as the template.

INFO 02.09.2002

Hello!

Pasted in below is some info I sent to registered users at 29th of August.

Since then I updated the following problems today:
- Error in generated html, missing end tags
- Problem with MapBlast automatic maps (MapBlast change), new URL added, works now.
- Current temperature update on DS1820 dialog (From sensors view, Show Sensor dialog)
- Spellchecked 'Always on top' on Wind dialog
- Locked PortType to 5, (serial connection through DS9097), for now.
- Hidden 'Rescan MicroLAN', 'till I can get it working. :-[

- Added DS2423 counter dialog (like the DS1820)
- Added DS2438 humidity dialog (like the DS1820)

Known issues (still):
Graphs will sometimes need to be selected once before displaying.

Regards,
Arne

INFO 02.12.2000

Hello!

I found a bug in the Wunderground post, there was inserted a blank in front of the date in the post string when the date was one-digit, like now (1-9th of Dec...)
It reported OK, and Wunderground said it WAS OK, but it didn't show up at the web....
OK now!

Also changed the rain rate/hour stuff, keep a running total for 60 minutes, and since there was a lot of opinions for how long the samples should be, I made it adjustable from 5-60 minutes. (Can be changed in SENSORS.INI, RateMinutes, or on the Config page in WSERVER)

Rate calculated every minute, but I haven't had enough rain to test it, so...well, you know...

I am also experimenting with a high/low alarm for the temperature sensors, there is a new value HighAlarm and LowAlarm in each sensors section in SENSORS.INI, (Takes degrees Celsius... sorry, all internal values are in Celsius)
When the temperature rises above the HighAlarm, it will sound an alarm once, and a RED LED will light up on the temperature dialog.
Double-clicking this will reset the alarm/turn off the LED. Same when dropping below the LowAlarm, but now the LED will be blue.
It automatically resets the alarms every new hour.

There some minor changes regarding update of the display, let me know if its NOT updating rain or temperatures.... :-]

Have a nice weekend,
Arne

Hello!

I have (finally) uploaded 2 .zip's of my latest builds for test.
I am sorry to say the size has grown considerably since last builds, so I
have splitted the download in two ~1.2MB zip's.

Extract as previous into an empty directory, copy INI.TXT there, edit
WSERVER.INI's serial-port setting to match your setup, and run.

I am aware of a whole lot's of bugs, but felt I really had to offer
something after such long time... :-]

- The dialup stuff is not finished, so it will not work yet.
- I am not finished with the temperature properties dialog
- The wind & rain gif's will not show any zoom adjusting, only default
upper/lower limits
- No DDE at the moment

- If you are using the mighty HUB, ALL sensors has to be connected from
the hubs outlets, or they will be found twice....
I will look into this later, so far that's the way it works.

There are numerous other changes, so you will not be able to use the old
SENSORS.INI, sorry.

Hello all!

I have made a few updates on parts of my WServer distribution.
If you want to try it out, download the 1.5MB zipped file here:
...
and extract the 4 files inside over your current setup, or in a new directory.
(This is not a full distribution, only the files changed since 10.07)

Changes:
Graphing of heat index (heat index also displays all the time)
Heat Index and dewpoint is calculated from the "selected" temperature and the "selected" humidity.
(previous only from the selected humidity sensor)
Updated temperature properties dialog and alarm stuff
Minor changes in the generated .gifs, now also prints WHEN they are created ++.
Prints number of samples taken on the generated HTML

And some bugfixes.. both reported ones and found by yours truly!

Regards,
Arne

INFO 07.07.2003

Hello!

Just a quick update for you registered users

First: I have not yet got the AAG barometer supported, and it looks as the summer will pass until I can find the time needed to get there...

But, there have been other requests, and bugs reported and hopefully fixed, enough that I felt I could upload what I have so far, for you to test as you like.
As it is 8 months since my latest release, and the progress has been slow, I have no full list of changes, but will try to list some of it:

Added:
- support for up to 6 extra files to upload at FTP upload intervals.
- user-selectable port for FTP client, defaults to 21.
- KPa as barometric unit, for our Canadian friends.
- support for reading page 14 of a DS2423, if your page 15 (default) counter die..
- HTML tags for DS18x20, DS2438 temperature, VAD and humidity high/lows.
- better calculation of windspeed, now uses a 5th order equation normalized from a windtunnel dataset of 4 DalSemi WS's.

Fixes:
- problems in SUMMARY.TXT sometimes, hope it's OK now.
- problems in earlier beta with FTP, filenames got mangled.
- plot interval decreased from every 3rd minute to every minute.
- workaround for DST, as I have problem with getting it from the OS, check/uncheck in Configuration
- problems with zero'ed out values in WSERVER.INI, hope it's OK.
- hang at TCP disconnect, (telnet or WClient), something about deleting things twice... :-]
- XML from built-in webserver, marked as text/xml now, earlier text/html.
- autoreset of high/low ticks lost at shutdown.

As the time here has passed midnight now, I have not updated the docs in the package, will try some other day...

Take care, and have a nice summer everybody!

Hello again...

Here's the latest:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, no it's bedtime in Norway, here's what I've done today:

Changed the FTP stuff, I really hope it works better now..
Changed barometer graphing, it SHOULD come up on the DPWC graph, against the left scale.
Changed so all DS2438 sensors share the same reading interval
Barometer display settings (open/closed) saved between sessions

And some other (nonvisible) stuff.

Download from here:

(~1.9MB)

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Bye for now,

Hello!

I have dumped out another version yesterday night.

Changes:
- XML error corrected
- Heat Index available
- Generated .gifs only have 1 legend to the right, not 1 for each plot.
- Supports sensors both on the HUB's outlets and elsewhere on the bus.
- Fixed errors when plotting temperature from humidity sensors
- SHOULD be more stable...

NOT fixed yet:
DDE: Maybe not that big a deal?
APRS: It MAY work, but I haven't tested it.
Dialup:	No changes since last build.

I am going on vacaition for a couple of weeks at Thursday 12th, so this will probably be the only "Summer Edition"....

Arne
